Itinerary

Cusco - Tipón - Pikillaqta - Andahuaylillas - Cusco

To begin the Cusco South Valley Tour, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:45 a.m. Then, we will head south of Cusco.

First, we will visit the amazing archaeological site of Tipón, where we will appreciate enormous agricultural terraces and their perfect irrigation system. We will also see a beautiful temple where water was worshipped.
Next, we will continue our tour through a fertile valley to the archaeological site of Pikillacta. It was one of the most important administrative and religious centers of the pre-Inca Wari culture. You will be amazed by its excellent and perfect urban planning.
Finally, we will visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, built in the 17th century with a popular Renaissance-style facade, but the interior is a splendid example of the Baroque style with extraordinary ornamentation, the work of artists from the Cusco School. Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 2:00 PM.

Note: The start time for the tour in this itinerary is based on the group tour. If you choose the private tour, you will decide the start time, and only on the private tour will we stop at the Huacarpay Lagoon wetlands to observe the biodiversity (ducks and other Andean birds).
