The tour begins very early, around 5:00 a.m., with pick-up from the bus terminal or directly from your hotel in Puno. Before starting the adventure, you’ll have the option of using the luggage storage service and, if you wish, enjoying a continental breakfast (not included in the package).
Afterward, we’ll head to the Puno pier, where we’ll check in and prepare to board a tourist boat. From there, we’ll begin a leisurely cruise across Lake Titicaca to the famous floating islands of the Uros, constructed entirely from totora reeds.
During your visit to these islands, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the islanders, learn about their ancestral customs and their way of life on the lake, and admire the unique structures they have maintained throughout the centuries. You can also explore the islands, take photographs, and, optionally, take a short ride on a totora reed boat. Finally, around 12:00 p.m., we will begin the return trip by boat to the city of Puno, closing a brief but enriching experience that combines living culture and unique landscapes of the Peruvian highlands.
It's a half-day tour lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours, ideal for short itineraries in Puno.
The islands are located on Lake Titicaca, a few kilometers from the city of Puno.
You can learn how the totora reed islands are built, interact with local families, and optionally take a ride on a traditional reed boat.
Yes, it's an easy and accessible activity, suitable for children, adults, and seniors.
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and some cash for purchases or optional activities.
