07:30 – 08:00 a.m. | Pick-up from downtown Arequipa hotels We begin the tour by picking up passengers from hotels located in the central areas.
08:00 a.m. | Journey to the Colca Valley We depart for the Colca Canyon on an approximately 4-hour trip, making several sightseeing stops along the way:
Pampa Cañahuas: Located within the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we can observe vicuñas in their natural habitat.
Patahuasi: A stop to enjoy traditional coca tea, recommended to prevent altitude sickness.
Toccra Wetlands: A natural area where a large number of alpacas can be seen grazing freely.
Volcanoes Lookout (Mirador de los Volcanes): The highest point of the route (approx. 4,800 m.a.s.l.), offering a panoramic view of the western mountain range.
12:30 p.m. | Arrival in Chivay Arrival at the town of Chivay and free time for lunch (not included). Afterward, transfer to the accommodation and time to rest.
Afternoon | Hot Springs Optional visit to the La Calera or Chacapi Hot Springs, whose thermal-medicinal waters reach temperatures between 35°C and 38°C (95°F – 100°F). Entrance fee not included.
Night | Dinner and Overnight stay Free time for dinner in Chivay (optional dinner with a folklore show). Overnight stay in Chivay.
6:00 a.m. | Breakfast at the hotel
6:30 a.m. | Departure to the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint
Transfer to the most famous viewpoint in the Colca Canyon, located approximately 1 hour from Chivay.
8:30 a.m. | Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint
Approximately 45 minutes to observe the flight of the Andean Condor and appreciate the depth of the canyon.
Return with cultural stops
On the way back, we will visit natural viewpoints and the traditional villages of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, where you can appreciate their colonial architecture, churches, and local customs. In Maca, you can sample typical drinks such as the Colca Sour (optional).
12:00 – 1:00 p.m. | Lunch in Chivay
Lunch on your own at a local restaurant (not included).
2:30 p.m. | Return to Arequipa
Return trip with stops as needed, depending on the weather and the group.
6:00 – 6:30 p.m. | Arrival in Arequipa
End of the tour near the Plaza de Armas or transfer to hotels in the city center.
