A guided tour will take you through the main sectors of the sanctuary, such as the Guard House, the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, and the Temple of the Three Windows, allowing you to appreciate the history and majesty of this wonder of the world. After the tour, return by bus to Aguas Calientes and free time for lunch. In the afternoon, travel by train back to Ollantaytambo and then transfer by road to the city of Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
In the morning, I will pick you up from your hotel to begin the tour to Moray, where you will visit the circular terraces that served as an important agricultural laboratory during the Inca era. Afterward, you will continue to the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive complex of thousands of natural salt ponds that are still mined using traditional methods. Very early, at 4:30 a.m., I will pick you up from your hotel and depart by bus to Mollepata, where you will enjoy a typical breakfast. Afterward, you will continue your journey to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike to Humantay Lagoon. The hike will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, with the option to rent horses. Upon arrival, you will have free time to enjoy the scenery, relax, and take photographs of the snow-capped Humantay Mountain. After descending to Soraypampa, we will return to Mollepata for lunch and then return to Cusco in the afternoon. Arrival at the hotel in the evening and rest. Overnight stay in Cusco.
At 4:00 a.m., pick-up at the hotel and travel to the town of Cusipata. Upon arrival, an Andean breakfast will be served before continuing to the starting point of the hike in Chillihuani. The hike to the summit of Rainbow Mountain will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, reaching an altitude of 5,036 meters above sea level. At the summit, there will be time to appreciate the spectacular multicolored landscape and take photographs. Afterward, we will descend and enjoy lunch in Cusipata. Return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m. Overnight stay in Cusco.
