Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and City Tour in Cusco

Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your selected hotel. You will have free time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon, at 1:00 p.m., you will begin your Cusco City Tour, visiting the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha) and the main archaeological sites surrounding the city: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas (Traditional)

In the morning, at 7:30 a.m., you will be picked up from your hotel to begin your tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first visit will be to the archaeological site of Pisac, where you will also experience its traditional artisan market. At midday, you will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba. Later, you will visit the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo and its imposing Temple of the Sun. After the visit, transfer to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and rest. Optionally, you can visit the town’s hot springs. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 3: Machu Picchu – Wonder of the World

After breakfast, at 7:00 a.m., pick-up at your hotel and transfer to the bus station for the ascent to the citadel of Machu Picchu. A guided tour will take you through the main sectors of the sanctuary, such as the Guard House, the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, and the Temple of the Three Windows, allowing you to appreciate the history and majesty of this wonder of the world. After the tour, return by bus to Aguas Calientes and free time for lunch. In the afternoon, travel by train back to Ollantaytambo and then transfer by road to the city of Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 4: Maras and Moray

In the morning, I will pick you up from your hotel to begin the tour to Moray, where you will visit the circular terraces that served as an important agricultural laboratory during the Inca era. Afterward, you will continue to the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive complex of thousands of natural salt ponds that are still mined using traditional methods. After the visit, you will return to the city of Cusco at midday. The afternoon will be free for personal activities. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 5: Humantay Lagoon

Very early, at 4:30 a.m., I will pick you up from your hotel and depart by bus to Mollepata, where you will enjoy a typical breakfast. Afterward, you will continue your journey to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike to Humantay Lagoon. The hike will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, with the option to rent horses. Upon arrival, you will have free time to enjoy the scenery, relax, and take photographs of the snow-capped Humantay Mountain. After descending to Soraypampa, we will return to Mollepata for lunch and then return to Cusco in the afternoon. Arrival at the hotel in the evening and rest. Overnight stay in Cusco.

Day 6: Rainbow Mountain – Vinicunca

At 4:00 a.m., pick-up at the hotel and travel to the town of Cusipata. Upon arrival, an Andean breakfast will be served before continuing to the starting point of the hike in Chillihuani. The hike to the summit of Rainbow Mountain will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, reaching an altitude of 5,036 meters above sea level. At the summit, there will be time to appreciate the spectacular multicolored landscape and take photographs. Afterward, we will descend and enjoy lunch in Cusipata. Return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m. Overnight stay in Cusco.

Day 7: South Valley of Cusco

In the morning, pick-up from your hotel to begin your tour of the South Valley of Cusco. You will visit the church of Andahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas,” followed by the archaeological complex of Raqchi, dedicated to the god Wiracocha. Afterward, you will visit the archaeological site of Tipón, renowned for its advanced Inca hydraulic engineering system. A typical lunch will be served en route. In the afternoon, return to the city of Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 8: Farewell to Cusco

After breakfast, you will have free time depending on your flight schedule. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board your return flight, concluding this unforgettable experience in Cusco.
